Manhattan Magazine Fictionist Launch Party

In general, I loathe hosting parties. There's too much pressure getting people to turn up and support your cause (book, charity, school). But for the launch party for Manhattan magazine's Fictionist column, I didn't have to carry all the weight and worry by myself. In fact, I barely had any given that my co-hosts for the evening were Manhattan magazine's editor-in-chief Cristina Greeven Cuomo and the bestselling author Holly Peterson, as well as Taylor Plimpton, the magazine's fiction editor.

I had a lovely time catching up with old and new friends and signing copies of my book. Plus, the party was at Le Cirque (which was fitting since the restaurant is in the Bloomberg building and my book, SOCIAL DEATH, is about the murder of a billionaire media mogul's daughter). Delicious wine, delectable food and good friends. That's what I call a great night.
