Holy Madoff!

My next novel, Hedge Fund Wives, is coming out soon, and I'm counting the days, hours, and minutes! The story centers on four women, each married to hedge fund managers, whose lives become entwined when their husbands' fortunes rise and fall (but mostly fall) during an economic collapse, not unlike the one we're all experiencing now.

With Hedge Fund Wives I wanted to explore how an economic downturn would effect marriages (like so many I see in New York) that seem to be built on the maintenance and accumulation of material things. Through the lives of my four main characters—Marcy, Gigi, Jill, and Ainsley—I sought to illustrate the dangers of depending upon a man for emotional or fiscal security, and, the flip side of that, the benefits of taking responsibility for your own finances.

But don't worry, I haven't gone all Suze Orman on you. Hedge Fund Wives is a fun tale, in the vein of Gilding Lily, with lots of intrigue, gossip, betrayal, and drama to keep the pages turning. I can't wait for everyone to see the cover.

(Hint: It rocks!)
