Wedding Dress Article in the New York Times

I recently wrote a story about a trend in the bridal industry: Brides who wear more than one dress to their wedding. Writing the piece brought back memories of my own wedding more than seven years ago in Costa Rica. The ceremony took place in a small, rustic church, and the reception was at a nearby country club in Escazú, a suburb of San José. I wore a strapless, a-line dress made of white lace, a crystal headband and fingertip-length veil. I didn't change my dress, nor did it ever occur to me that I needed to, but I did swap my heels for a pair of white platform flip flops during the reception.
